Warwick University is situated on an attractive campus, just on the edge of the city of Coventry. On three sides the campus is surrounded by fields and woodlands; on the fourth is a modern residential district of Coventry.
Coventry is located one hour and 10 minutes away from London. Coventry itself is a medieval city, now rebuilt after its devastation in World War II, into a bustling industrial hub with world-renowned businesses, a famous cathedral, and a shopping center serving a population of around 300,000. There is plenty else to explore near by the University; Stratford upon Avon, world famous as the birthplace of William Shakespeare, Warwick Castle - the finest medieval fortress in the country, Leamington Spa - an attractive regency spa town, and Kenilworth Castle, one of England's most dramatic and romantic ruined castles dating from 1120.
