Housing:
Participants in Brockport's Program at the International College at Mahidol University will be housed in a fully furnished room at the International House which includes air conditioning, personal bathroom, telephone, computer room with internet access, laundry room, kitchen and dining area, lounge area with satellite and cable TV, common room, study room, day and night security guards, room cleaning services twice a week and bicycle rental. Housing is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Other housing options are also available.
Both international houses have wireless internet access in every room including public places. If students have their own computer, each house also has a computer room where there are two computers provided for students who do not have their own computer. All of these are free of charge. Moreover, on campus there are four computer lab rooms on the fifth floor where there are 250 computers for students to use during the day time. Also, the building has wireless internet access too.
The International House at Chaiyapruk Village is just a ten-minute bicycle ride from campus. Chiayapruk Village has its own swimming pool, sport center and restaurant, which offers take-out service.
Orientation:
Prior to the start of the program participants will be provided pre-departure materials from the Office of International Education at Brockport and World Endeavors (our third party partner in this program) that includes all relevant details about the program. Upon arrival in Thailand, participants will receive an orientation that will familiarize them with the program and the surrounding area, and the Thai lifestyle.
Shortly after the conclusion of the orientation program, participants will begin their academic course work. Participants will have selected and received approval for their selection of courses (with advisement) prior to their departure.
