Participants in the Brockport Swinburne University of Technology Program will select (prior to departure) three courses available to study abroad students at Swinburne University of Technology. All instruction in the Brockport Swinburne University Program is by Swinburne University faculty.

Participants in the Brockport Swinburne University Program are examined in the same manner (and to the same standard) as their Australian counterparts and classmates. The majority of courses in which they will enroll are examined formally at the end of the semester and in order to be awarded credit, participants must take--and pass--the examination at the end of the study period in question.

Internships:

Full time internship placements are available at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne for a minimum of six weeks (to be done in the summer months) up to a full academic year - this allows for flexible credits and length of stay.

Normally study abroad students take the internship program for ten weeks at Swinburne University, earning 12 credit hours total.

Housing will be secured off-campus for students on this internship placement option.

Those students doing the internship opportunity will need a work visa to enter Australia, not the student visa with a COE number.

Students will take part in Swinburne University's orientation prior to their work placement for participation in the internship program.
