Housing:
Housing is provided for participants in the Brockport Jamaica Program in on-campus self-catering suites [units of six single-occupancy bedrooms sharing a common living area (living room/dining area/kitchen)] in a newly built (completed in Spring 1995) residence hall/hotel. Participants in the Brockport Jamaica program will be fully integrated into the Center's student population.
Students have a single room furnished with a bed, desk and closet, on the top floor. Laundry is available. It is a six-room suite with living and bathroom facilties (no air conditioning).
Telephone service is available in the hostel by using phone cards. Many students purchase mobile phones for local use ($60.00 est.). Internet service is only available in the School of Dance (main office).
Orientation:
Before the start of classes, each student will participate in a pre-session orientation program in Kingston organized by the international office at Edna Manley. Course registration will be completed at that time.
