Selecting A Program for You.
There are four things to consider when selecting the right study abroad program for you:
- MAJOR area of study- does the program you are checking into have your major listed?
- COURSES OFFERED- once you establish that your major is offered, make sure the courses you are interested in are offered during your planned semester of participation.
- LOCATION- where do you want to spend your time overseas? City vs. suburbs. Large university vs. small university. Some universities are in the cities, such as our London programs, but some are on the outlying suburbs. Take a look at a map and get a general picture of where it is you are applying.
- COST- is the specific program you are applying to affordable? Will your financial aid and loans apply towards your semester overseas? Will your financial aid cover the majority of your expenses (including air fare, and local travel in the country where you will be studying in, and/or a set of program related field trips, etc.).
