Junior or Senior standing by the start of the program.
A cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
A GPA of 3.25 in an appropriate major.
The demonstrated ability to do upper-division work in the subjects chosen.

The academic year at the University of Melbourne consists of two thirteen week teaching semesters followed by four weeks allocated to a one week review "vacation" and a three week examination period. Typically, the semesters run from mid July through November (fall semester) and mid February through June (spring semester). Participants in the SUNY Brockport/University of Melbourne Program may enroll for either the fall or spring semesters or for the full academic year.
