Courses:
As with most British universities, the word "course" at Oxford Brookes is used to describe the degree path within an individual major. A US course, or class, is referred to as a module. Some areas of study which are offered are:

Journalism
Media
Psychology
Publications

Credits:
Participants in the Brockport Oxford Brookes University Program will normally earn four or five credit hours for each course completed, for a minimun of 12 credits and a maximum of 16 credits a term.
Curriculum:
Oxford Brookes University offers a unique three-term program. Students may enroll in one, two or all three of the terms. Prior to their departure, participants in the Brockport program at Oxford Brookes University will select three to four courses from the more than 1000 classes available each year. The normal course load for a student at Oxford Brookes is three courses per term. However, students planning on attending for one term only may opt to take four courses, although they are advised that this is a heavy course load. Students attending for a combination of any two terms, or the full year, may only take three courses per term, for a total of six and nine respectively. All instruction in the Brockport program is by Oxford Brookes University faculty and participants are examined in the same manner, and to the same standard, as their British classmates.
