NOTE: If a student wishes to apply for Visiting Student Status at Oxford University, it must be stated on initial application when applying to the Oxford University program. Visiting Student Status is a "special" designation that provides the student with extra campus privileges above and beyond those accorded to regular Brockport/Oxford students.

Fees for the regular Brockport Oxford University Program:

Spring 2009 Hilary Term: $19,900 (est.)

Summer 2009 (6 weeks): $6,700 (est.)
**The additional charges for the Oxford University Visiting Student Status is $3,150 for the Fall 2008 semester and $3,700 (est.) for the Spring 2009 semester.

INCLUDES

  • TUITION (at Brockport and at Oxford University),
  • HOUSING (single occupancy rooms in houses and flats), in good standard student housing during all weeks of the program (utilities included, but not telephone charges),
  • Housing during the entire vacation period for students participating in two or more terms,
  • Program acceptance fee,
  • The cost of your tutorial instruction in Oxford,
  • Associate Membership in a Junior Common Room at your Oxford College; including:
      a. full dining privileges at your college (the cost of meals is NOT included);
      b. unrestricted access to your college's library;
      c. full participation in your college's social and athletic societies.
  • Membership in the Oxford Union Society,
  • Access to the Bodleian and most faculty libraries,
  • A high level of support services during your term/year in Oxford,
  • Pre-departure orientation materials,
  • Pre-departure course selection,
  • Pre- and post-program advisory services,
  • An on-site orientation program shortly after your arrival in Oxford,
  • The Brockport overseas support system,
  • Provision of transcripts for full-credit transfer of credit,
  • Transferable credits awarded by an accredited American college,
  • Registration as a full-time student at Brockport during your period of participation,
  • Lifelong maintenance of the records of your participation,
  • The International Student Identity Card,
  • Brockport's Value-Added Services, and
  • A program of field trips, excursions and social events including the Brockport London Weekend Program.

    DOES NOT INCLUDE:

    • Health Insurance*,
    • Various campus-specific fees** (Student Government, Technology Fees, etc.),
    • Airfare to and from England,
    • Meals,
    • Personal expenses,
    • Entertainment,
    • Local travel,
    • Telephone charges,
    • Textbooks and special library fees, including the Bodleian.

    As a very rough guide, a participant in the Brockport Oxford Program will need around £300 to £400 per month to pay for daily local travel, textbooks and other school supplies, entertainment, meals and other necessities.

  • This estimate does not include the purchase of clothing; travel in Britain or Europe outside of the excursions/field trips organized by the program.
  • The group flight will cost participants between $500 and $900 (depending on departure/return dates, the point of origin of any connecting flights in the US, etc.).

    The actual amount that you will spend depends heavily on your style of living, and will vary with each individual's personal spending habits, entertainment preferences and travel choices.

    Financial aid applies towards fees.


    *SUNY regulations require that participants in Overseas Academic Programs have "adequate" insurance coverage. Students whose current health insurance is not "adequate" may purchase appropriate coverage for $396.25 per semester (this is the current cost and is subject to change).
    **Varies depending on the SUNY campus at which the participant pays tuition.
