The Costa Rica Program includes a variety of options:
Students may choose to do a full-time internship at a variety of placements in San Jose,
Students can choose to participate in a full-time language study at La Escuela de Idiomas in Desamparados,
Students have the option of participating in a part-time internship in conjunction with the intensive language study at La Escuela de Idiomas,
Or, students can choose to participate in spanish tutorials consisting of literature and culture courses, in conjunction with the regular intensive language program or with a full time internship.
The Internship placements are in San Jose, the capital city of Costa Rica and the Spanish language courses are taught at La Escuela de Idiomas located in Desamparados, a suburb of San Jose. La Escuela de Idiomas is an established institution with more than 16 years of experience. The professors are national teachers with many years of experience who teach in small groups, which allows for personalized attention and encourages class participation.
