Housing:
Students studying at Swinburne on Brockport's program will be housed in the on-campus residential college at Hawthorne Campus. For further details please refer to Swinburne's website at: http://www.swin.edu.au
The facilities of the residential college include: fully furnished individual rooms; heating in each bedroom; computer cabling with access to the University network (personal computer not provided); on-site manager and monitored by Swinburne University security; bathroom and toilets on each floor; fully equipped kitchen with self catering facilities; recreation/TV lounge area; landscaped outdoor BBQ area; public telephones; and laundry facilities. Orientation:
An orientation program specifically for study abroad and exchange students is conducted during the week prior to the commencement of classes in both semesters. Issues covered include settling in to life in Melbourne, culture shock, accommodation, health insurance, clubs and societies, email access, study skills, weekend trips and social events.
